I was a little puzzled about why DSouza picked the name Death of a Nation, for his new documentary.

As a young film student beginning graduate school in the mid 70's I studied Birth of a Nation by D.W. Griffith in the classroom (I.E., It was a 1915 Hollywood production). The Griffith production laid the groundwork for modern Hollywood films. It used innovative techniques, but was a racist production that showed the KKK in a positive light and African Americans as primitives.

DSouza and some of the people interviewed talk about the film and how it caused a resurgence of the KKK, after a populist Democratic president showed the film at in White House.

DeSouza is a hack. He preaches to the low IQ group that believe his ridiculous premises and conspiracy theories and happily takes their money. If you studied film and think he is a competent documentarian then you wasted your time and money.

Standard fare for the liberals. If they can't rebut what you say they insult you.

Like Michael Moore?

Like Michael Moore??

I liked Bowling for Columbine (until the end). Moore did not handle the Charleston Heston interview ethically.

Heston had aged and was suffering from Alzheimers when Moore hit him with some insulting questions. Heston was very polite, but Moore really looked like a jerk. It was totally pointless to make a person with Alzheimers look bad.

I think Moore takes too much liberty with his movies. You get a lot of opinion without fact to back it up.

DSouza had some opinion, but he backed everything up with facts and reputable sources (I.E., the German historians were not involved in American politics and were not biased).

Death of a Nation was much more than I expected. It was well researched and the video quality was good.

The idea of a documentary is to get your point across. D'Souza does that.
