Boy with 8 limbs

I'm not sure if it's okay to post this picture so here is a link. Some might find it too graphic. No blood or anything just a boy with an undeveloped twin sticking out of his belly.

Here is my question:

I was raised and went to church being taught that being gay was wrong. As I get older I find things that just don't make sense to me.

How can GOD create a child to be born like this yet there is no way he could create someone that is gay?

If we can be born with a deformity this CRAZY can't we also be born with a sexual deformity?

JohnLynch --- 11 years ago -

How can GOD create a child to be born like this yet there is no way he could create someone that is gay?

first of all...God doesn't create our bodies...we are reproduced by human sexual reproduction

secondly...homosexuality is an action...not a sexual deformity

a4204657uu --- 11 years ago -

So what if you are born hemaphrodite and a sex is chosen for you at birth by either the MD or parents but you have greater opposing hormones than what is chosen for you. Are you still gay? Is it still wrong or against God? I believe there are genetic errors that are a product of human sexual reproduction and not a chosen action.

JohnLynch --- 11 years ago -

So what if you are born hemaphrodite and a sex is chosen for you at birth by either the MD or parents

hermaphrodites only have one working reproductive system...that is the sex chosen...

I believe there are genetic errors that are a product of human sexual reproduction and not a chosen action.

sorry...but there is no gay gene...that would require an increase in information in the dna...mutations never produce new information...they just copy existing information

deformities happen when 2 or more copies of existing information is made instead of the normal one copy

It is I WhyWhyWhy --- 11 years ago -

Yes its wrong because "god hates fags" but he sacrificed his son because he loves us.

JohnLynch --- 11 years ago -

but he sacrificed his son because he loves us.?

He sacrificed himself because He loves His creation...He didn't create homosexuals and He does hate sin...

zapper007 --- 11 years ago -

He sacrificed himself because He loves His creation...He didn't create homosexuals and He does hate sin...

BTW - What business is it of yours - what people do in their own bedroom?

Are you that curious???

Or - are you that afraid???

JohnLynch --- 11 years ago -

What business is it of yours - what people do in their own bedroom?

that surely shows a lack of love for those people on your part...i care about their eternity...clearly you don't

her?maph?ro?dite [hur-maf-ruh-dahyt] Show IPA
noun
1.
an individual in which reproductive organs of both sexes are present. Compare pseudohermaphrodite.

So no. They have both parts and docs always want to wack off the dong because it's easier.

JohnLynch --- 11 years ago -

So no.

you didn't comprehend what i said...there is ONLY ONE complete reproductive system...please pay attention

Snake Plissken --- 11 years ago -

i care about their eternity...clearly you don't

You want to think about other men's penises for eternity?

It is I WhyWhyWhy --- 11 years ago -

No he wants to lick...

JohnLynch --- 11 years ago -

apparently that's what's on YOUR mind...

I have a friend that was born with sexual ambiguity. She didn't tell me until a few years ago. Keep in mind, she is in her 60's so the medical aspect is dated, but at the time they were unable to determine if there were any reproductive organs conclusively.

But the drs told her parents that because what "might" be a penis was so underdeveloped it would be less psychologically harmful to surgically make her a female.

She later had to take female hormones as she was not developing breasts or having a period. She married but was unable to get pregnant so they adopted both of their children. She is a very tall woman and has a deep voice but not so much that you would think she was a man. She has adapted very well and laughingly told me that while she does have many masculine traits that it doesn't bother her, as many men have feminine traits.

I am not sure what this has to do with this thread, lol, except that in her case I don't believe she had any working reproductive system and according to her the decision to make her a female was the common decision made back in the early 50's when she born.

JohnLynch --- 11 years ago -

No he wants to lick...?

you're the one that does that...

a4204657uu --- 11 years ago -

Dummy, I gave you the definition. There are two partially complete reproductive systems. You may have the bible memorized but I know medicine

*LOL* --- 11 years ago -

Regarding the picture you have linked, I am wondering why that poor child could not have a surgery to remove the appendages? What is the source of the picture? Even in very poor countries, there are usually volunteers from the medical community once something like that goes public.

beyoutiful --- 11 years ago -

Question: "What does the Bible say about hermaphrodites?"

Answer: Babies that are born with both male and female sexual organs, or characteristics of both organs, are called hermaphrodites or intersex. A child who is in an intersexual state is classified in one of three categories: 1) true hermaphrodite ? an infant born with both ovaries and testicles and has both male and female sex organs. 2) female pseudohermaphrodite ? a genetic female with male external sex organs. 3) male pseudohermaphrodite ? a genetic male with external sex organs that fail to develop properly, resulting in female or male/female physical characteristics.

In times past, doctors would perform surgeries without first testing the infant to find out its true sex, and the child would sometimes grow up very obviously a man, with female genitalia. Now, specialists can perform an ultrasound, blood test, chromosome analysis, and even do exploratory surgery to find out the baby's true sex. The treatment is still controversial, however.

Some believe that surgery and/or hormonal therapy should begin within the first 15 months of life, and others believe these things should be put off until the child is old enough to make his or her own decision about it. There are pros and cons for each side. Either way, any family with an intersexual infant should begin counseling, as should the child when he or she is old enough.

When babies are developing in the womb, they all begin with sex organs that look female. If the baby is male, he begins to produce testosterone, and if the hormone reaches the tissues correctly, the external genitals become a scrotum and penis. Chromosomal or sex hormone abnormalities can produce an infant in an intersexual state. It can also be caused by a condition called congenital adrenal hyperplasia, which is a disease the blocks the baby's metabolism. It is not as uncommon as we might think; about 1 in every 2,000 newborns is born in an intersexual state.

Babies are not born with physical disorders to punish their parents in any way. Although God created the earth perfectly, it soon brought destruction upon itself with the onset of human sin (Romans 5:12). Before the Flood in Genesis chapter 7 that wiped out almost all living things on the earth, people had the potential to live for several hundred years.

After the Flood, human life spans grew progressively shorter, indicating a change in the environment which resulted in damage to the human genetic structure. This also explains why incest was necessary for the population of the earth in Genesis, but was forbidden later in the laws of Leviticus (18:6-18). Now, thousands of years later as sin continues to permeate the world, the human race has been bombarded with every kind of sickness, disease, disorder and birth defect we can imagine.

It is very possible for a child born with both sex organs to grow up to have a healthy view of sexuality and successful relationships. From early on, the child should be taught how valuable, loved and accepted he is by his family and also by God. He or she is not a victim of divine judgment, but God has a plan for each one of us that will bring Him glory, as we can learn from a man who was healed by Jesus Christ:

?'Teacher,' his disciples asked him, 'why was this man born blind? Was it a result of his own sins or those of his parents?' 'It was not because of his sins or his parents' sins,' Jesus answered. 'He was born blind so the power of God could be seen in him'? (John 9:2-3).

Yes, yes I do. I'm sure you do too. Thou does protest too much.

Come on Johnny boy admitting it will make you feel better. Get it out. Do you like a big deck?

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 11 years ago -

catlover, don't worry about what others think- you know the truth- and many of us agree with you-

JohnLynch --- 11 years ago -

LOL...i'm not the dummy...the definition DOES NOT say 2 partially complete reproductive systems...

comprehension is a wonderful thing...try it sometime

but I know medicine

apparently not...

There was a special on TV that covered this particular little boy in a remote village in India. He finally did receive the surgery and the appendage was succesfully removed.
Incidently, he was not and is not gay.

Psalm 139:13 says this.. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

There is not a single scripture in the Bible that states homosexuality is OK in Gods eyes.

Since the Bible states the homosexuality is an abomination to God, I don't believe he would cause someone to be born gay.

The boy pictured clearly has what is called a parasitic twin...this is completely different than choosing to be gay.

This point has been argued over and over on KU and I won't participate in any arguing.

Oregonian --- 11 years ago -

J.L. does at times, in a courtly and scholarly manner, explain his religious beliefs and expound on how he formed them based on his reading of the Bible.

He also belittles those who question him and he professes not to care whether people like the message, or even if they listened. He sees himself as absolutely 100 percent right.?

Sharticus --- 11 years ago -

Parasitic twin. Thank you God for giving me one of those. At least I'm not gay!

Exactly. I believe the gay or homosexual lifestyle is a choice.

Sharticus --- 11 years ago -

Exactly. I believe the gay or homosexual lifestyle is a choice.

There may be a subset of deviant people that want to try the gay lifestyle, but I also believe most are born with the disposition to be gay. I know at least four people (three guys and one girl)that I knew were different as early as third grade and they all turned out gay. I didn't even know what gay meant then but I knew they were different. The most popular guy in my school was always different. He didn't play sports, he had no guy friends and he was, for lack of a better term, very gay acting in early elementary school. When he finally came out in college he told everyone that he would throw up knowing he was gay but couldn't do anything about it. Obviously, gay is not a decision for most people.

JohnLynch --- 11 years ago -

He also belittles those who question him and he professes not to care whether people like the message, or even if they listened. He sees himself as absolutely 100 percent right.

people who lie about others...as you just did...belittle themselves...with no help from anyone else

Emperor of Kingwood --- 11 years ago -

?Obviously, gay is not a decision for most people.?

It can be nothing other than a lifestyle decision since no one has isolated a gay gene, brain abnormality or endocrine system problem.

JAMS --- 11 years ago -

I'd be interested to see the study that discusses locating the heterosexual gene.

Can someone link it for me, please?

Sharticus --- 11 years ago -

It's hormonal. In college, my sister roomed (assigned) with a girl that was one of the most popular country singers in the region. She was as butch as butch gets. She even had the hint of a mustache and beard. Turns out, she was diagnosed with some kind of disorder at birth and they gave her testosterone to fix the problem. Was it her choice to become what she was? Does God punish this girl because human doctors force fed testosterone into her system? No . Hormones are the key, whether naturally or medically, in these people. Any other belief is totally ridiculous.

Elsa --- 11 years ago -

Even if one thinks they are born gay, the Bible makes it clear that homosexuality is a sin...so they should abstain (my cousin did).

Sharticus --- 11 years ago -

Even if one thinks they are born gay, the Bible makes it clear that homosexuality is a sin...so they should abstain (my cousin did).

One of my favorite quotes from Christians is "If you think it,you might as well have done it." Case in point, I'm a heterosexual married male that probably ( incidentally) looks at 15 girls a day and have less than Christian thoughts about them. I have never cheated in 22 years of marriage and would never do such a thing. However, my human instincts make me "take notice" of a cute girl regardless of my religious views. If your suppressed gay cousin still has gay thoughts but hadn't acted on them, are the gay thoughts a sin?

JAMS --- 11 years ago -

The Bible is just a book.

We are talking science and biology here.
Try to keep up, Elsie.

JohnLynch --- 11 years ago -

the Bible is THE BOOK...

Snake Plissken --- 11 years ago -

John spends WAY too much time worrying about what other men do with their dicks.

Sharticus --- 11 years ago -

Hey, John.Impress me and address the case I presented earlier about the girl that was injected with testosterone and, by no choice of her own, was turned into a hybrid girl/guy by human intervention. Does the Bible address that specifically or are you reduced to quoting vague scripture that may or may not have jack s**t to do with that specific topic?
