What's your favorite spot for donuts in Kingwood? 

Shipleys, the best IMO! They remind me of my grandfather, when I was a kid every Saturday morning (if I stayed over the night before) he would go get them hot out of the fryer and that was just heavenly!! Wonderful memory! 

Shipleys kolache's = tiny meat in a large bun that drips liquid cheese on your lap while you are driving. 

Westco on Rustic Woods. Great old fashion cake donuts.

I'd be happy with a plain cake one with coffee. But coconut, chocolate, maple are my faves.

I just realized not eating a donut this morning means I'm really missing out!

Best blueberry muffins are at HEB. You can sometimes snare a 3 pack with a $1 off coupon.

Randall's, 6 PM till midnight donut club, 2 for 50 cents!! Still good & taste fresh.

Very best place in KW is Westco on WLH, cross street is Rustic Woods across the street ( sideways ) from Wendy's. They open at 5 AM, I think & are light as a feather & heavenly. Super nice people, too!!!

Personally, I think Randal's bagels are better. 50 cents with a Randal's card. Jalape?heddar are delicious!
I shouldn't tell you though, because as everyone hears about them, they're all gone in minutes!

Westco is disgusting...other KU peeps have had the same experience where the chocolate icing tasted like fuel/gasoline. Really gross & makes you wonder what they are using. 

I think the quality at Westco has declined. We stick with Shipleys now

Yes.. Westco donuts with chocolate taste like straight up chemical. Kingwood donuts receipt says Westco too so they are the same owners. 

I don't think that I've ever had the chocolate iced donuts at Westco & now I'm glad that I haven't.

I haven't been there for a long time so perhaps quality has declined. They used to be so good & it's unfortunate that things have changed. : (

I like them but WarrenPeace mentioned that funny chemical taste in their chocolate icing. I then noticed it too...ignorance can be bliss. I like coconut and maple tho just as much so if I go there I get that or the glazed, those are top notch.

I went there this morning and got some for the fam, but did not eat one. :(

Our experience with Westco is that the oil that the donuts are fried in tastes old, as if they have never changed out the oil in the fryer. Yuck!

Also, has anyone tried the new donut place next to Skeeters. I think it's called Citizens Donuts.
