Ms. Ford, do you believe in this American principle of justice: a person is innocent, until proven guilty?

Ms. Ford, how old were you, when this alleged party took place?

Can you provide the date & time of this alleged party?

Can you provide the address, where this alleged party took place?

Can you give us a list of names of the people at the party?

Did you drink any alcohol at this alleged party?

Do you take any drugs at this alleged party?

Did your parents know you were at this alleged party?

Did your parents approve of your drinking at the age of 15?

Ms. Ford you have provided no evidence that this alleged party even took place.

If you can?t provide any evidence that this alleged party took place, how we are to believe anything else you say about this alleged party?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

But she's supposed to be believed anyway because women don't lie about things like this.

Prolix Raconteur --- 6 years ago -

Her lying attorney says she has no motivation to fabricate the claim "nor a political bone in her body". Let's see...

Kavanaugh's mother was a magistrate who who ruled against her parent's in the foreclosure on their home, but dismissed the case after they settled with the bank.

Her brother works for the law firm that represents Fusion GPS.

She donated to multiple liberal causes and candidates over the years.

She flew to Washington to participate in anti Trump rallies.

She scrubbed all her social media history as soon as things began to go public, hiding her true sentiment on issues that could tarnish her motivation.

She can't remember what year or where this supposedly occurred.

She has zero witnesses and alternately told her therapist there were 4 boys in the room and then 2 boys.

But the damage is done now, and she's tainted the entire process. Mission accomplished. I smell a book deal in her future.

OrdinaryGuy --- 6 years ago -

And a confirmation of a Supreme Court Justice!

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

But she's supposed to be believed anyway because women don't lie about things like this.

bob...What does Dr Ford have to gain by lying about what happened?

Shame on Republican senators for not demanding an investigation. Its like they dont want to have to pick someone else. "We the people" deserve the best. Not 2nd best.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

bob...What does Dr Ford have to gain by lying about what happened?

Well lets start with revenge. Also, shes a Dem contributor so she believes or has been convinced that she has it within her power to block the appointment of a conservative judge to SCOTUS. Mark, that really easy to see.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

Shame on Republican senators for not demanding an investigation.

Investigate what? An unsubstantiated claim with no verifiable basis in fact or corroboration from a person with a political AND personal agenda?

SoupIsGoodFood --- 6 years ago -

Liberals have gone beyond the bounds of desperation with this one.

When Kavanaugh finally gets confirmed. They're going to go ballistic.

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

so she believes or has been convinced that she has it within her power to block the appointment of a conservative judge to SCOTUS.

Why would she want to do that? 2nd point.
Why would "we the people" want a person that has so little regard? Why should such a person (if guilty) deserve a lifetime appointment? Can we not find anyone better qualified for this job? bob.

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

Investigate what? An unsubstantiated claim with no verifiable basis in fact or corroboration from a person with a political AND personal agenda?

bob, you truly have no heart.
She told her shrink and her husband years before Kavanaugh was even on the map. She also took a lie detector and passed. Verification: check.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

Can we not find anyone better qualified for this job?

You could always read the Constitution so you know how the process works. We the people did select by virtue of the last general election.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

Why would she want to do that? 2nd point.

i already explained that to you.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

She told her shrink and her husband years before Kavanaugh was even on the map. She also took a lie detector and passed. Verification: check.

All of which is meaningless from an evidence point of view. We are still a country of innocent until proven guilty. Anyone can make any wild accusation they want. Its evidence and corroboration that makes the difference.

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

There is a reason why lie detector tests are not admissible in court. First of all, it doesn't prove she is telling the truth, it only proves she believes she is telling the truth. Secondly, lie detectors can be beaten.
Maybe markster, you need to read up about lie detector tests.

You may want to brush up on your evidentiary rules, weasel.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 6 years ago -

"But she's supposed to be believed anyway because women don't lie about things like this. "

That's not true. There is a tendency to believe her bc right now bc there is a rash of men getting caught, resigning, being fired and confessing. It's not fair for anyone who may be innocent, and that is true. But it's truly about atmosphere right now.

However, as much as I know in my heart this is an epidemic, I also know the vast vast majority of assaults are never reported. It's a part of why this whole thing is imploding now. I hope we learn something....

As far as this particular case, I think this one is suspicious. This only comes up, 35 years later, as a man is nominated to SCOTUS. Only one person. Not dozens. No history of problems. The fighting between party loyalists ( many incapable of an independent thought) on both sides are scratching and fighting for the power of this judge's spot. oh, the power of that spot.

I do not know what is sadder, what is more damaging to our collective soul as a nation, to destroy a possibly innocent man for nothing other than dirty political gain or that another 17 YO girl was assaulted and she Is in the company of thousands of others.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

I also know the vast vast majority of assaults are never reported.

The vast majority of the cases where men are resigning and/or being fired isn't assault. Offering more money, a raise a promotion or a sense of job security in exchange for sex is not assault. Bill Cosby is clearly assault.

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

You may want to brush up on your evidentiary rules, weasel.

Id be satisfied if Kavanaugh took a polygraph.
Weasel, is that all you got?

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 6 years ago -

Right, it's harassment. But the Kavanaugh situation is claiming assault.

OrdinaryGuy --- 6 years ago -

So you would change our system where no evidence is needed to convict someone. That's kind of stupid!

jackass --- 6 years ago -

None of you actually care, it?s all about the political victory...your life won?t change one bit because of who gets selected to scotus...and I mean none of you in either side.

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

your life won?t change one bit because of who gets selected to scotus.

Id agree with exception to our future generations. Is this the future we want to leave? Its a matter of fwd thinking for our country.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

your life won?t change one bit because of who gets selected to scotus.

I completely disagree. SCOTUS decisions can and do effect your daily life.

Are you seriously this ill informed? Brown vs the Board of Education, the Heller decision, Miranda decision, Cooper v. Aaron, Engel v. Vitale, Grutter v. Bollinger, et.al

bob! Have you had an abortion?!
How will Kavanaugh possibly being the deciding vote to overturning Roe v Wade effect you? He is pro-birth, a federalist. We all know republicans hate personal freedoms.

So, mark, you don't think SCOTUS determining which candidate was elected President didn't affect anyone's lives?

Sorry, that just sounds like jibberish...

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 6 years ago -

Of all the things you've said, that might be the most uninformed.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 6 years ago -

2000 United States presidential election recount in Florida. ... The Florida vote was ultimately settled in Bush's favor by a margin of 537 votes when the U.S. Supreme Court, in Bush v. Gore, stopped a recount that had been initiated upon a ruling by the Florida Supreme Court.

2000 United States presidential election recount in Florida

ahhh yes..

Im pretty sure the only lives affected were Bush's and Gore's. It's likely the lives of thousands of Iraqi's and thousands of Americans in a pre-emptive strike against a country that did nothing to us.

Why do regular people vote republican?

Not KU --- 6 years ago -

That was then, this is now.
Kavanaugh isnt worthy of a lifetime appointment. "We the people" can have better, and we deserve better. btw...The topic is still Kavanaugh
