It is a good thing. When you understand the relationship between cheap energy (oil) and global politics,U.S. national security and global influence you realize its a great thing.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 6 years ago -

Just wait until the drilling starts in ANWR. That's a whole lot of U.S. oil on the market.

It may not rank up there with Notre Dame winning the national championship. But yeah, I always am proud when the US of A is on top.
Neener, neener, neener.

You can brag when the US is the leader in clean energy.

China is the leader there.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 6 years ago -

LOL............. Carbon emissions by China are about double of the US.

They are by far the largest polluters on the planet......... so that whole "clean energy" claim is pretty much bogus.

fuzz81 --- 6 years ago -

Do you know the population of China?
Do you know how much they?ve reduced emissions?

I've been there on more than one occasion and its horrible, you can't breath.

fuzz81 --- 6 years ago -

CO2 emissions per capita:

China: 7.55 tons
US: 16.4 tons

Yeah, because they burn more coal than the world combined. That garbage that trump wants to burn.

CO2 emissions per capita:

LOL........... split those hairs.

Country Fossil fuel CO2 emissions

China 10,641,789
US 5,172,336

Per capita means nothing with numbers like that.

Beware of people who want to be like china...
