I haven't been on in a LONG time, and was laying in bed last night wondering what had come of KU. So today I take a look and it appears lots has changed.

No, nothing has, nor will it wver. People have been the same forever, 

No one comes on this site anymore....hours and days pass between posts on threads, partisan politics dominate the board. This was not the board a few years ago and definitely not the board 9 years ago!

These days, there?s not a lot of incentive to post. Most people are on the other local site...which is severely micro-managed, but, still gets a ton of traffic! 

Days passing between posts is a bit of a stretch. 

The more things change
The more they stay the same? 

Most people of any emotional balance don't want to just talk about politics or watch the same half a dozen people say THE SAME THING EVERY DAY and want to fight about it. It's beyond boring. We already know exactly what you think...and it's not interesting, that's WHY people leave.

Post something else. Contribute other topics and discuss with respect. 

Boring defined and illustrated ^^^. spamming every thread with your political views isn't interesting to anyone. We already know what you think. 

We've tried to change it closer to what KU used to be many time to no avail. There are always those here who want to keep talking on what is on their own agenda, and it's almost always politics and try to steer threads that direction. It's not enough to have their own thread about it, but also to keep talking on every one else's thread about politics. Yes, it gets old so everyone has basically stopped posted. There are tons still reading, I bet.

No one has a short attention span. Do you really lie to yourself like that? You should really try opening your mind up and listening to what's said, instead of talking non stop. 

I can only take so much political hostility before I take a voluntary vacation from this place.

That poster is one of the same people who post here daily and you will figure who they are quickly. I am not one of them because I get made fun of for posting enterntainment news. The moderators think that is exceptable. :( ::( :(
