People are beginning to low at Beto's record. He has not accomplished much and voted against aid to Harvey victims.

Republicans regularly vote against aid for anything...

kingwood17 --- 6 years ago -

Do you remember when Cruz and Cornyn voted against aid for Hurricane Sandy?

We do.

We also remember when Cruz said this

"What I said then and still believe now is that it?s not right for politicians to exploit a disaster when people are hurting to pay for their own political wish list."

so they should luv him.

voice of reason --- 6 years ago -

real reason it was done and this article is a year old b.t.w. try to keep up with today:

So, why did these Democrats vote against it? According to the Tribune, some of them wanted the tax breaks to include other natural disasters, thought there were too few hearings on the bill, or were upset that it wasn?t tied to a measure extending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

voice of reason --- 6 years ago -

this is way too funny! thanks for making my day.

The author of the bill, Republican U.S. Representative Kevin Brady of The Woodlands, was unhappy with his nay-voting colleagues in Congress, calling the Democrats who voted against the bill ?the very worst of Washington,? and accusing them of ?putting politics ahead of people,? according to the Tribune.

that from the 'party before country' people so no surprise there.

Beto is not a Republican, so why did he vote against helping Hurricane Harvey victims. I'm sure there are lots of excuses....but he did it.

RayofHope --- 6 years ago -

I think it's going to become a big issue in the upcoming election.

OrdinaryGuy --- 6 years ago -

I guess time will tell. We will see in Nov.

kingwood resident --- 6 years ago -

Btw...his name is not Beto. He goes by Beto to draw in Hispanic votes. He is a socialist democrat that has a criminal record. Why would anyone vote for him??
Ted Cruz is the right man for the job.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 6 years ago -

"Beto" is still a longshot to win.

Another "Wendy" moment for the Democrats in Texas in the making.

Butterbean --- 6 years ago -

Btw...he's probably gonna win.
