I get no less than 6 a day. They should so be outlawed and penalized unconditionally.

In this day and age, the FCC should be able to develop technology to determine when a specific number is being used for robo calls and fine the crap outta' these scammers! Those fines could cover the cost of technology development!

The middle eastern folks seem to be the worst.

Okay - I put it out there and feel somewhat better from the rant ... until the next call comes. I never, EVER, answer an unknown phone number but some just don't quit

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

Gigix, I downloaded an app on my iPhone called RoboKiller and it blocks 98% of those calls and I never get them.

It costs $25 a year, but it's well worth it.

Gigix4 --- 7 years ago -

The robo calls are on my landline (via Suddenlink) so I intend to be in the Suddenlink office this week or next to see how to block them and how many can be blocked since some of the same ones now use numerous numbers in sequence.

Needless to say, DO NOT CALL list, is useless!

TinktheSprite --- 7 years ago -

I never answer my phone unless the caller is someone I know. I sort through messages when I feel like it.

Gigix4 --- 7 years ago -

I have gotten 8 so far today. Grrr ...
It's just so annoying!

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

I have a landline for fax only, otherwise I'm strictly cellphone.

TinktheSprite --- 7 years ago -

Yup. Cell only. Need that FAX line, too. That line isn't hooked up to a phone, doesn't even ring. It's connected to an answering machine. I let the messages pile up then delete them.

Reefrus --- 7 years ago -

SENTRY V1.0 Dual Mode Call Blocker. Block 100% Robo Calls. Stop All Junk Calls, Election Calls, Survey Calls. 9999 Number Capacity

It helps but phone still rings once before blocking

TinktheSprite --- 7 years ago -

Gigi? Do you have Caller ID? If the number starts with a number similar to yours, it's probably a Robocall. You can ignore those. Then there's this:

Gigix4 --- 7 years ago -

Yup! Got caller ID which helps and I also have the caller ID show up on my TV so I know when to bother to get up out of my recliner or not!

Yes, I get a lot of calls from numbers that have my area code and first three digits after that.

I NEVER answer any unknown phone numbers but still, these calls are just so danged annoying. When you are old like me, it interrupts our train of thought and that is annoying to us old people! :)

Saturn --- 7 years ago -

Gigix,

As luck would have it, I got a robo call from the Marriott Hotels tonight and RoboKiller didn't catch it.

They're on the blocked list now ...

UGH

Zapper009 --- 7 years ago -

If you have a Verizon cellphone, just add them to the REJECT list - works great...
