What's the latest fake reason? Easter Travelers? Supply issues? Gah. $2.50 for mid grade??

Oy.

TinktheSprite --- 8 years ago -

It was $3 in the Galleria Wednesday for Regular. Thank goodness their pumps were not working. Went up the street and nabbed some for $2.59. That's still below the national average. I think we just got used to super cheap gas.

CavemanBarney --- 8 years ago -

About 3 hrs ago, mid grade at Kroger was 2.35 and if you have a Kroger card to scan it's less. Oil prices are up!

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

I went to Shell and used my Kroger card, paid $2.45 but I stopped before that in Crosby and it was $2.79 so i kept on going, lol.

Obama's fault

jackass --- 8 years ago -

Start tossing bombs and the price of oil goes up...its all speculation done by guidos in the bronx or somewhere like that.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 8 years ago -

Guidos!? LOL

urabunchcats --- 8 years ago -

HIGH PRICED OIL IS GOOD!

TinktheSprite --- 8 years ago -

Maybe higher prices will help my DD get a job?

Dorothy Parker --- 8 years ago -

I've always been told be thankful in Houston when you're paying high prices at the pumps! An angel got their wings!

voice of reason --- 8 years ago -

thanks trump

Wow. Supply and demand doesn't have anything to do with it?

sdanielmcev --- 8 years ago -

Ride a bike.

Leila --- 8 years ago -

It will be great for the Houston economy if oil prices start coming back.

jackass --- 8 years ago -

Production and reserves are at all time highs...but yeah probably something. Wow.

lol

DVaz --- 8 years ago -

Spring-Summer. After Labor Day it'll be less than $2.

Behold the pale horse --- 8 years ago -

Production and reserves are at all time highs...

Production of known reserves is not at all time highs.

jackass --- 8 years ago -

Actually, last year for the first time our proven oil reserves surpassed russia and saudi arabia...so yea.

Behold the pale horse --- 8 years ago -

Reserves and production from those reserves is two very different things.

jackass --- 8 years ago -

Semantics...fact is we have the supply and demand hasnt increased that much. But then again gas prices arent really going up all that much either.

Behold the pale horse --- 8 years ago -

No it is not semantics, reserves and production from those reserves are very different. Clearly you don't know how the oil industry works. Supply is managed mostly by the oil producing countries. Demand has increased every year.

jackass --- 8 years ago -

You could be right, everything I'm reading is saying we're at all time highs...who knows.

Behold the pale horse --- 8 years ago -

Our reserves are at an all time high. But, the cost of recovering those reserves is also high. For example, ND shale oil cost on average about $55 BOE to recover. GOM oil is about $32 BOE.

Behold the pale horse --- 8 years ago -

Saudi sweet oil is about $9 BOE.

Mary Jane --- 8 years ago -

It was so high for so many years I'm happy it's still under $3.00
