My son said that one of the senior students at KHS died this weekend. Is this just a rumor or did we have a local tragedy?

Already did. Nothing there. So weird that something so horrible would be a rumor. 

You are not made aware of many horrible things that happen...

Rumors often follow facts - not always, though.

Give it some time and it will be clarified.

I don't know what y'all are jumping on Iandp. It seems rude to come here and start a post to ask a question about something her own son could answer if he asked friends. Why come here and ask questions? I wouldn't want my child discussed on this site. 

I didn't know about this.

Even though they may not know most of us, I hope knowing that their neighbors care and are thinking of them brings them some comfort and peace. 

The celebration of life event will be tonight to honor Bobby Baham, Jr at the below location:

The cause of Bobby's death (some knew him as BJ) is unknown. I just wanted to clarify as people will start rumors but truthfully, the family has no idea what happened. He died peacefully in his sleep.

What a lovely gesture. Heartbreaking for all of his loved ones. I'll be thinking of them all tonight.

Because I have a student at the same school........ I hope somebody will keep us updated on the cause of death. (Not because I'm nosy, but if it was something contagious or a complication of a sports injury, I'd kind of like to know.) 

I am his mother. Thank you for your prayers. They said it could take up to 6 months for a definitive cause of death. They have told us that his heart was too big for someone his age and his size. That's all I know. Please continue to pray for us as he was my only child and I miss him terribly each and every day.

Shana Su- there is just nothing that words can convey to let you know how I ache for you. It is the deepest loss, I know.

Watch for the signs...you will see them. Reminders that he is not gone from you, he is with you always...in every memory and every reminder, and in little way that love endures.
