Copy of a post from a friend whose son was assaulted-

WARNING... Anyone who knows me should understand that no matter what my beliefs are, I NEVER support violence.

Tonight my 16 year old son was assaulted by two black men in hoodies. They stopped him while he was riding his longboard home from the horse barn. They were in the trails by Trailwood Village and stopped ****. They began asking which candidate he supported. He said he didn't support either candidate. The bigger man grabbed **** while the other man punched *****twice in the face and then in the stomach.

Thank goodness a jogger was passing by told them to stop. They dropped *****on the ground and he couldn't breath. Without a phone they couldn't call anyone. He made it home safe and we are filing a police report. Other than a swollen eye and being scared he is going to be ok.

I am NOT telling this story to incite more violence. Instead I want to express that anyone fueling the negative energy on either side is part of the problem.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop the ugliness on both sides of this argument. It only produces more hatred, division, and ugliness in the world. STOP using examples of other people's bad behavior to justify your own bad behaivior.

I don't care who or if you voted for someone. You have to own your words, posts, comments, and actions. They reflect on no one but you. Politics is a social and greedy chess match played by people we give power to. In the end we the people usually end up hurt. Let's stop hurting each other!

FOLLOW UP - Thank you everyone for being concerned and I promise we will be keeping a look out for these two men. After talking to the officer, **** seems better and i know he will be more aware in the future. It is certainly disheartening but please make a difference by showing love to everyone. If you are a Christian now is the time to walk the walk. Only then will God's love thrive and overcome!

So many have it much worse. We live in a little bubble that is pretty safe. Others live these tragedies everyday. Pray for those who are hurting and feel the need to hurt others.

I pray ***** finds forgiveness through understanding so that he does not carry this on his heart.

Only one side is acting violently toward the other side. for some reason democrats believe that because someone disagrees with you that gives them license to beat the other person up.

These boys parent(s) and schools have failed them by instilling the lie that Trump is a racist. 

These THUGS are part of the STAIN on our society.

They are owed nothing and deserve nothing.

I doubt it was about politics- thugs will be thugs, that was just an excuse to behave badly, and I bet they aren't even from around here- these people show up at very peaceful march, just to stir the pot-I see them as anarchists-I'd be surprised if any of them vote. 

Hope these thugs are found and punished. Even if nothing material was stolen, they robbed this child of his feelings of security, not to mention the long term psychological impact on him and his family. He will not be comfortable in his own surroundings for a very long time. Similar to the feeling when a home is robbed, he was violated both physically and mentally. Very sad.

Another reason to carry when you walk the greenbelt. 

Hate crime charges should be filed.

I'm sorry to hear this happened - I hope the teen makes a full recovery. 

Why is it only one party who pulls this stuff? Their members should be embarrassed. 

Its not just one party, I suggest you rewatch the Republican convention to see what those men did and said to women. 

Why make this thread political? The thugs broke the law regardless. Who cares why they did...they just did it. They should be punished. 

Offer large reward and they will be found :)
