Even though I didn't feel the need to respond, I got inspired. 

A better question would be, Why go onto a thread that was intended to inspire and trash the poster, make fun of their message and even their name? Then when it was locked, make another thread for the sole purpose of continuing the bashing?

Talk about a negative message. I don't blame them for not wanting to hear/see more of the foolishness that was posted there by some hateful people.

I did not see ANY post from that original poster that was negative or hurtful to anyone but I sure saw a number of people doing that to them for no reason. Apparently, locking is the only way they had of keeping people from changing the thread into an excuse to hurl insults.

Spot on what. Series of posts on the other thread, and now a new thread with the sole purpose denergrading, not disagreeing, not commenting, but denergrading the views of others simply because you disagree. 

Seriously? Is that the only thing you got from what I said? I feel no better or worse because of what I wrote, what about you? Do you feel better after attacking them for no reason, then attacking again even when they had retreated by locking their thread, in an effort to get the attacks to stop? Bully

When you're on an open forum, you take the good with the bad. If you start a thread to inspire people, Why would you let a few naysayers shut you down? Shouldn't the inspiration be stronger than that, if that was the true purpose?

That's my reason for starting this thread. If you shut down your message, how strong was it to begin with?

If I want to inspire someone, I do, if not, no worries. I wouldn't stop what I felt was inspiring because some folks disagreed with me. Haters gonna hate.

If you are referring to the pictures on this thread that I posted...it was a joke, bc I posted, what was supposed to be an inspirational christian music thread..Dp created what appears to be an UNinspirational thread..So as a joke I posted those UNinspirational pictures. This place is crazy. I see why JL left. Y'all ran him off too, bc anyone who loves God gets ran off this website. Exactly what is going on in our schools and the world in general. God already knew that Christians would be persecuted..it is written in His Word. Matthew 24. I will always worship the Lord my God and His Word will NEVER fade away. It isn't about me. It's about what Jesus Christ did for me and you on the cross. He changed my life and I am a very happy person and you can be too if you will accept Him as your Lord and Savior .. I'm not sure what your intentions are but I am going to assume they are pure. My experience has been that the art of inspiring people usually does not take the form of posting "church-y" messages or pictures, especially one after another.

It you want to inspire people, set an example of faith and contentment in your day to day life. Live a life that will make someone ask what your secret is. People can find scripture anywhere. It isn't what brings someone to Christ. That all comes later in a person's journey.

I have noticed that some of the preachy-preachy stuff too often comes from a place of people wanting to elevate themselves above others, not to motivate and minister to them.

I am a Christian but so full of imperfection myself so I am not trying to point fingers at any one person or say I am any better than you are.

I am a Christian, and I do have a personal relationship with God and Jesus. I also know the Bible very well, having read it for many years.

With that said, I am an astute judge of a person's inner being. What I sense in you is not a very mature faith.

You are trying too hard and missing the point really. The Bible has a verse about that too. Something about don't be too holy.

Just relax, have fun, let others get to know you, and stop putting up that wall of piety.

The op's supposedly inspiring posts are transparently done just for attention. they must have no conviction in their beliefs which is why they locked it. 

From what I can tell all the woman did was post some songs she finds inspirational - maybe hoping it would inspire others.

I am pretty sure she is not a perfect Christian, I am pretty sure she may have some internal motivations more driven by ego than altruism, I am pretty sure of all of these things, because I am pretty sure she is a human being. And just like us all - imperfect, flawed, subject to ego - sometimes personally motivated.

Is the criticisms, or in some cases snide remarks she got to be expected on a message board, sure they are. But, they just as easily could have ignored the posts. I didn't see any thing too in your face, your going to hell if you don't believe, or even I'm right - your wrong in her posts - just links to songs.

Was kind of hoping they would just be ignored - guess that was a tad optimistic.
