I need to find a good person or family to take a few dogs. One of them is unintentionally pregnant by a bulldog and is a chihuahua mix with a terrier. I moved out of my fathers home and in with my mother who had just got a bulldog, i had tryed to keep a close eye on my dog but apparently not close enough. I dont want to put her through anything awful so i am trying to find someone who will do the best for her. The other dog is basically still a pup and she is a terrier who i found a few months ago. Im giving them away because 1) I am not fit to be taking care of them. 2) my mother doesnt want them here anyway and refuses to help me. So here I am. IF anyone is interested. Text me: 2816081790

Your chihuahua mix will probably need a c section due to the head size of the puppies. How IRRESPONSIBLE to ALLOW this breeding to happen and then NOT take responsibility for the birth and vet costs!!!!! By the way, c sections start around $600 UP? Try to talk a RESCQUE into taking her they get HUGE vet discounts due to their donations.

FabFive --- 9 years ago -

She's right about the c section. I think the price quoted is pretty conservative and I'd expect double, if not more. Since it seems that you don't know when she bred you're going to need to do progesterone testing to time the section. It sounds as if you're in way, way over your head. You need to find help quickly. If you let the dog labor there's a good chance she will face uterine rupture. Chances are all dogs involved will die if this dog labors naturally. Time is of the essence. I don't live there any more or I'd help you. When you find a home for the dog please tell them they need progesterone testing at the end to determine when her hormones are dropping and preparing for labor. Plus a c section. Frankly this will not have a good outcome unless you have someone very experienced involved.

Yes I knew she would need a caseation. I have tried to raise money to get her one but no matter how hard I try I can't seem to do it. And yes I understand its irresponsible, this is why I am trying to take action and find someone willing to take her in.

a4987240uu --- 9 years ago -

What do you guys or girls recommend? She's a sweet heart and really needs some help

a4987240uu --- 9 years ago -

Also I'm 17 years old. I don't have the money to be taking her to a vet. I took her from a family because they were not taking care of her at all an. Keeping her locked in a cage 24/7. She was skin and bones. Its very rude of you to automatically make assumptions. I would not have made this if I didn't care about my dog

FabFive --- 9 years ago -

I didn't make any assumptions but did want to be clear of the gravity of the situation and how to properly handle the end with progesterone testing and a section. I'm worried about the dog and her puppies. We don't live in the area at all anymore, or I'd help. Hopefully someone will chime in about a dog breeder or rescues willing to help.

Well clearly that isn't you. Neuter/spay your FN animals for gods sake. You care clearly irresponsible and unaccountable for your actions trying to dump them on someone else GROW TF UP

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

We were all 17 once.

How far along is the pregnancy, and has it been to a vet at all?

a4987240uu --- 9 years ago -

She's probably about 2 weeks is my assumption.

a4987240uu --- 9 years ago -

Mmk how blow. Mmmmmk

a4987240uu --- 9 years ago -

An. Its all good fab. I understand

a4987240uu --- 9 years ago -

I only made this account for my dog. So if anyone has anything helpful to put in, that would be great.

Joe Blow --- 9 years ago -

Too many unwanted animals in this world. Go have her spayed and aborted. Jesus.

Butterbean --- 9 years ago -

Agreed.

TinktheSprite --- 9 years ago -

The pregnancy may kill her. Chihuahuas typically have tiny babies. If her babies are large it could injure her or kill her during pregnancy. You might get her an abortion.

Joe Blow --- 9 years ago -

Remember, he/she has no money. So he/she let their little dog get knocked up by a big dog and now he/she wants to unload the problem on someone else in a world filled with too many animals to start with.

The Awe Inspiring JoelleDrees (Mod) --- 9 years ago -

Give the poor girl a break, guys. Geez.

She's trying to remedy a problem as best as she knows how, she's only 17.

Cussing her out doesn't help solve the problem, but it adds to it.

Keep the discussion on how you can help, or don't join at all.

aussiefan --- 9 years ago -

Turn her in to the Houston SPCA.

Joe Blow --- 9 years ago -

Sorry Joelle but you are an enabler.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 9 years ago -

And you act like an idiot a good portion of the time. Move on.

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

From what I've read you can get them spayed up to 3 weeks into pregnancy.

Call a vet. Find out what needs to be done, and how much it will cost.

a4987240uu --- 9 years ago -

Okay thanks guys and girls. I'll see what I can do. Except Joe. He's just here to be rude. But thanks to everyone else

Butterbean --- 9 years ago -

He's not here just to be rude. His words hurt, but certainly have validity.

The animal is barely pregnant. Abortion and spaying is probably one of the least expensive, most effective solutions. Check it out, please.

mutton --- 9 years ago -

Spay now, abortion happens. Sad situation came up for the poor animal...

mutton --- 9 years ago -

I had one I caught in act before the spay! Had done within the month...

Eliza2 --- 9 years ago -

Try Scout Honor Dog Rescue, try Almost Home Dog Rescue, Twylas Friends, Texas Chihuahua Rescue, Yorkie Small Dog Rescue, etc...keep calling and asking

Wow a pretty obvious personal attack from a mod? Did you ice yourself?

Annie's Mom --- 9 years ago -

Do you want to find a home for the 2 dogs or solve the pregnancy problem or both?

Get the dog spayed. That solves the last problem. BARC has some free days if you live in the City of Houston. Check their website. Otherwise they are still reasonable as is SNAP and Texas Litter Control.

If you want to find homes for them contact reputable local rescues and ask if they can help you rehome them. Go to Petfinder.com and put in your zipcode. Local rescues will come up. Send them emails with pictures and their story. Be willing to foster and someone may help you. Good luck to you.

Barnstormer --- 9 years ago -

Never post a free animal online. Theres a huge chance the dog fight scum bags will take it and use it for a bait dog. Check with The Houston Animal Network on facebook. If time is on your side, you can ask some of the main people like Liz Keels on how to rehome a dog.

It is I WhyWhyWhy --- 9 years ago -

Getting the dog spayed is the best answer. If you figured out how to pay for her to have the puppies you would still need to pay for her to be spayed. Get her fixed now.

bear --- 9 years ago -

Take her to Montgomery County Animal Shelter at Hwy 45 & FM 242 They should be able to help.

Joe Blow --- 9 years ago -

She really should. Her obvious personal attacks happen regularly. Trump must be her man.

Prolix Raconteur --- 9 years ago -

Is it a personal attack if it's true?
