On Broad Leaf near Maple Park.

What did the news story say? I missed it. This is right behind my house. 

10 year old boy. Kingwood drivers need to slow down.

Yes, they do. That intersection is horrible. Very few people stop. 

Why is it now being treated as a crime scene? 

It wasn't at the intersection. It was on the street in the neighborhood, like 6 houses down from the intersection. I'm not saying that intersection isn't bad, but that wasn't the cause in this one. 

My prayers go out to this family. There is no greater loss. 

It is a thru street and people drive way too fast. 

We need speed bumps and more police presence writing tickets. 

Poor family! I feel so bad for them. It might not be the drivers fault and it has ruined their life. This is so sad for everyone involved including the driver. 

That is so terribly sad. Only prayers for all involved. I can only imagine what the families are going through.

So terrible. I know kids can be spontaneous and unpredictable but too many people are not paying attention and driving too fast. At 5 PM so many are in a rush to get home. Now lives have been altered forever in the most tragic way.

The news stated that driver was only going 2 MPH. Such a horrible situation.

Maybe they were backing up out of a driveway and didn't see the child walking or riding behind?

Maybe so. I guess the post that says it is being treated as a crime scene could mean they do that every time there is an investigation. IDK. So very sorry.

Very sad...the new said a 3 year old, people are saying a 10 year old. I'm hoping the child was younger for the sake of all the GTE kids on Monday. Green tree has some terrible cut through streets. My prayers go out to the family in this tragic time.

I believe the younger age is correct. A friend lives across the street from the accident and she was confused to why they were reporting it was a 10 year old. She said he was very small and his bike had training wheels. Very upsetting for all on their street. 

That section of Greetree goes to Hidden Hollow Elementary. 

The child was 3 yrs. old. Horrifying accident for all. The children were playing in their yard supervised by a very loving Mom/Aunt. The little boy just dashed out in front of the car in an instant. Devastating for all. Please keep this wonderful family in prayer as well as the driver who was a friend in the neighborhood. Just one of those horrible accidents. 

What a nightmare. Prayers.
