Anyone know anything about it?

whatchamacallit --- 9 years ago -

I've been looking too and no luck! Hope everything is ok with the people that put that up every year. I love spotting it on the way down Kingwood Drive!

maybe they just gave up! Too bad.

The man that lives there recently broke his leg and can't walk! So they were not able to hang it.

I will pass along that their peace sign is being missed this year.

Maybe they are too old? That sign has been up for many, many years.

There is a house in our neighborhood that puts out massive lights each year. One year, there were no lights. Eventually, everyone found out that the homeowner fell and broke his back. Things happen. The house on Deerbrook with the amazing serpent topiary, when the owner died, no one even attempted to maintain the creature. While we have enjoyed such things by the anonymous from afar, sadly rarely does anyone step up to continue what we have accepted as tradition.

Be sure to add a wish for them a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and a speedy recovery!

Does anyone know the house? I'm sure I can find a man to go put it up! I miss it too.

I always wondered why they didn't do that anymore. We used to live off deerbrook and brookgreen. Loved seeing that thing.

Remember the old library? He did the serpent for the library landscaping, too. It went to pot after he passed. And as we all know, so did the library as it was replaced by some costly, non-community friendly out building.

Rotaryrose... please tell him he's in our prayers, his beautiful blue peace sign is missed and, Merry Christmas!

Lisapisabobisa.... I would be glad to help with the cost of getting that done!
