Dorothy Parker --- 9 years ago -

Would people line up and spend the night on the sidewalk awaiting the grand opening of a Krispy Kreme donut shop!

Lmao! Wowzers!

a889324uu --- 9 years ago -

No, they do that silliness elsewhere too lol

Dorothy Parker --- 9 years ago -

It made me laugh!

I don't love donuts enough to sleep on the street...lol.

Not KU --- 9 years ago -

KK donuts are ok. But Id rather take a Dunkin or Shipley's over a Krispy Kreme any day.

Red Heifer --- 9 years ago -

I think people forget what bakery donuts (doughnuts) taste like.

Dorothy Parker --- 9 years ago -

I'd rather have fried dough/elephant ear/funnel cake/beignet (sp) over a donut ANY day!!

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

Funnel cake... I forgot about those. Now I want one. Where can I find one?

steinhoister2016 --- 9 years ago -

Dunkin donuts is awful...

freebyrdll --- 9 years ago -

@ Fuzz81.....

Renaissance Festival! Bring me back a scotch egg please!!

ladybeachbum --- 9 years ago -

Dorothy, KK is almost as good as caramel apples but no way good enough to spend the night to get them. They were there to be the first 100 and get a dozen a month free. The first one got a dozen a week free.

ladybeachbum --- 9 years ago -

Fuzz81 Sams had funnel cake outside on Sunday! I started to stand in line and passed. I love it, too!

fuzz81 --- 9 years ago -

Now I'm on a mission. Found some places in the heights and midtown that have it

them --- 9 years ago -

I googled Krispy Kreme lines and this happened to their stores in NYC and Boston on their opening days.

It happens often enough that KK has an opening day line policy that can be found online as well.

What made you think this would strictly be a Houston phenomena?

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 9 years ago -

there's no food on this earth I'd sleep outside in a line for, unless I was starving-

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 9 years ago -

Hoston isn't the fattest city in the country- Texas isn't the fattest state, either- although the south does take the prize-

No worse than those that line up to get the new iPhone, new video game or black Friday sales.

Maxx01 --- 9 years ago -

By the way, this happens every time a KK opens in a new market. Eight years ago I saw lines of cars for a drive through KK in Portland, OR.

WatchOut --- 9 years ago -

Maxx defends the freaks.

CartmanUK34 --- 9 years ago -

Shipleys are AWFUL, Dunkin' are okay at a good location... best I have had are at Hugs & Donuts in The Heights.

Prolix Raconteur --- 9 years ago -

Ummm. Donuts. Stay on point.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 9 years ago -

Doughnuts are evil

CartmanUK34 --- 9 years ago -

Multiple windows open, fixed now.

Leila --- 9 years ago -

Old Town Spring has a funnel cake stand. You can even swing by the Church of Lucifer for a visit while you are there.
win-win, lol!

TinktheSprite --- 9 years ago -

Free food brings out the weirdos. There were similar lines at Chik Fil A when it opened in KW.
