Street is flooded, pool is overflowing and the back yard looks like Lake Gigi!

A tree fell on a car and a house down on Lake Hills. 

😔not a good way to start the morning. Hope this is all past us soon. 

I saw tornado watch till 11am and flash flooding 

I just dumped 6" out of the rain gauge and the radar shows more coming this way. At least we still have power ... knock on wood!

Don't go out if you don't have to 

My sil had to park his van at a house a couple of blocks away and walk home. He had to carry my 16 month old granddaughter. She had a great time! 

Like alot of us, I work M-F. This kind of weather should not jack up our weekends! If I were one of those who likes to sleep in, I would be loving this. Everyone stay safe! Try to make the most of your day. If I get to the grocery store we will be having homemade chicken tortilla soup for dinner. Perfect day for that!

it's supposed to be over by 2- aside from my dogs bringing in mud, I never mind rain- I threw some sheets over my furniture and area rug- so I'm good with it- I slept late, too- I thought it was the middle of the night, until I looked at the clock! 9:00! Ha! 

I hope it is pretty much over. SWH is no longer under water, the van is safe, the baby is safe, but there is a total mess in the streets. People put out their recycle bins on Saturday (except me, of course) and they floated away and sank and dumped out all that crap all over the road where it flooded. 

if anyone gets upset about the rain, remind yourself what that year of drought was like- (after they pick up all the garbage that floated away! LOL!) 

I need a rain gauge that measures more than 5" for days/nights like these!
