does anyone know of anything new about grand park or heard anything about. I'm not looking for the negative comments so keep them to yourself if you have negative comments about it because I don't want to hear negative comments and I don't think anyone else wants to hear negative comments.

TinktheSprite --- 9 years ago -

Never heard of it. Are you talking about the Grand ParkWAY?

richardcountryboyatheartsitler --- 9 years ago -

I meant grand texas.stupid spell check.

richardcountryboyatheartsitler --- 9 years ago -

its a entertainment district with a theme park, water park and etc.

nthaknow --- 9 years ago -

Sometimes the truth hurts...

Not negative, just the truth.

Scheduled to open Memorial Day 2015.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

It's a true fantasy land.

Only exists in someone's fantasy.

Been hearing about this supposed amusement park for about 10 years now.

Never going to happen.

richardcountryboyatheartsitler --- 9 years ago -

it takes time to build a theme park because it cant be built in a day so it would be a process before anything gets built.it will be built but they have to wait for a bigger energy grid for the theme park.

nthaknow --- 9 years ago -

Excuses, excuses, excuses...

It's a scam.

TinktheSprite --- 9 years ago -

It's too bad there are people that scam on other's hopes and dreams. As much fun as Jurrassic Park-styled theme park would be, I doubt it will ever happen. Houston needs an amusement park. I miss AstroWorld. Great memories!

richardcountryboyatheartsitler --- 9 years ago -

its not a scam because its private money and no public money is going into it.i saw the new Disney park opening in Shanghai broke ground in 2013 and is supposed to open next year so im giving a example that it could take several years so you cant say it a scam because its not and that's just the negative comments that I didn't want to happen.

richardcountryboyatheartsitler --- 9 years ago -

people are just getting impatient that its taking longer than normal because that's all I see on the facebook page and there might be people who want to make it look bad but they are people who believe that it will happen because a theme park doesn't get built in day so it could take several years before it opens.the water park will probably open next year and that's something that will probably happen.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

it takes time to build a theme park because it cant be built in a day

So far it's been about 3650 days.

It ain't happening.

cooterbooter --- 9 years ago -

I imagine people made millions of dollars over this propaganda story. Even if they do build it I wont go.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

the water park will probably open next year and that's something that will probably happen.

The project will be bankrupt and scrapped before the end of the year. Just like the previous project.

2 years from now. A new group will show up with plans for a theme park/water park.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

steinhoister2016 --- 9 years ago -

Theme parks rely on tourism...not too many people think of Houston as a travel destination.

cooterbooter --- 9 years ago -

Yeah wait till they sit in traffic a hour or two just to get to the gate. Enough for me to turn around. Beside this areas road infrastructure sucks at best. Too many cars to little roads especially going east and west.

steinhoister2016 --- 9 years ago -

Any progress?

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

They've update their FB page. That's about all the "progress" they've made.

steinhoister2016 --- 9 years ago -

Looks like someone is out there laying pipe...

SoupIsGoodFood --- 9 years ago -

Hehehehe

Franklin --- 9 years ago -

I know this will come as a SHOCK to everyone, but groundbreaking has been delayed again. This time by 2 years.

People didn't think of Orlando as much of a tourist destination pre-Disney either.

SWEET! They've started building a trailer park!

I just booked my next family vacation there. The kids can hardly wait to spend a week in a trailer park located in the middle of nowhere. With wi-fi and cable TV!
