This is a new restaurant in the Kroger shopping center up front. I was thinking it was a snow cone place or something with sweets. Well I just got a flyer in the weekly mailer saying it is Caribbean style food. Anyone ever tried this place before, there is one 1 in pearland and 2 in Houston also. 

I often pass by their Voss/Westheimer Road location. I've brought a family meal home a couple of times. They have good tropical roast chicken, some island beef and pork, and a variety of sides, (including fried plantains). There's a variety of truly tasty salsa and sauces. It's fairly reasonable and a nice change from the fried chicken and burgers places. I'm glad to see them in this market. We enjoy it. 

I eat at the Voss/Westheimer location at least once a week. Really good food and very reasonably priced. I am very glad to see one opening up so close to home. 

We got a flyer in the mail too. I'm excited! Heard it's good. So glad we have something different & close to home. We try to eat better, so I think this is a much better choice than fried chicken. Do you guys know when they're going to open? 

How many fast food places are they going to build there? How can they all possibly be profitable? 

I work in Katy and there is a place pollo chicken, wonderful...

On a side note, your front might be my rear. For goodness sakes peoples, quit with the front back crap.

I took a peek at their menu and it sounds like lots of good stuff and some healthy options too.

I should have said Northpark and 59. I forgot that the other Kroger in Kingwood is on Northpark too. Sorry. Clear as mud, right? 

If you really want some good Caribbean/Puerto Rican food, there's a little place off the feeder road in Porter that is really good.

do they have alcapuria ? 

there is a Puerto Rican food truck off the feeder in Porter. There were on 494 in Kingwood, but the Harris County Food Police told them they had to remove their outside seating. So they moved to Montgomery County. Their alcapuria (sic) is good.
