If you do I suggest you drive to the Conroe office. Big parking lot, lots of handicapped spots and efficient service at up to 31 positions. I was in and out in just over ten minutes!

In comparison you have the office on Aldine Mail. It was packed and about 40+ people standing in line outside.

I left after being the butt of some racial slurs and comments about what was I doing in "our office".

And you wonder why I might just be a little prejudiced?

Say it ain't so!?!? We've been told black people are incapable of being racists, right?

There are good and bad in all people. There are parts of town and places where black people would find themselves the butt of racial slurs too...even here on KU.

I have known both types in all races. I just tend to chalk it up to the fact that ignorance knows no race. Life is just too short.

It may be possible to do that on-line.

Prolix Raconteur --- 10 years ago -

Just be glad the Ferguson verdict wasn't released while you were standing in that line.

Oregonian --- 10 years ago -

Can't do it on-line because I was covered for 15 years under spouces insurance while I had Part A.
Retiring in April so I will not have the employers insurance then.

All sorts of conditions to exempt me from paying a late enrollment etc. Life is complicated for sure.

Anyhow, it means another trip to Conroe after the employer fills out a short form.

Both my wife and myself did SS applications at the Aldine Mail facility. Had a couple of glitches, returned and completed the required info without delay or incident.

You can apply by telephone - call 800-772-1213

These folks are very helpful...

That's where I went to apply for ss and they took care of the medicare stuff at the same time. I've had no problems whatsoever.

The Aldine Mail Rt facility is probably no worse than going to the Humble or Porter Walmart. I think you can actually set up an appointment time on-line and they do call those folks first, no matter how long the line is.

I would definitely try calling the number above first.
