There's a basset hound that has been hanging around our office in Kingwood this morning. No collar.

Is anyone missing a basset hound or has anyone seen postings for a missing basset hound?

FabFive --- 10 years ago -

Bump. Please take him in. He may have a microchip and if you can't find the owners a basset rescue will surely take him.

Tempted to lie about it and say it's mine.

We had Bassets for years. Love the breed. It's probably a pet that followed kids off to school this am. They have little sense of direction or purpose.

I tried to get her, but she ran from me and into the canal/trees. I put a call in to Basset Buddies this morning, but they haven't called me back.

She looks like she was dumped. She's an older basset with hanging teats and you can see her ribs. :( There are several people keeping an eye out for her in case she's still in the area.

if she's nursing she will be thin. Poor baby! I hope someone finds her and the pups.

She's safe! A friend who is involved with dog rescue set a trap, but she avoided it. A young man named Trent saw her on Stonehollow and was able to get close enough to slip a leash around her neck. Once she was on the leash, she was a happy girl.

Natalie has taken her into her rescue and will get her the medical attention she needs and work with her to ensure she feels comfortable around people and other animals.

She will have an exam, she's most likely heartworm positive and will need treatment, she'll be spayed, and they'll also discuss having a tuck because her stomach and teats are dragging on the ground from having so many puppies.

If you'd like to donate to her care, Natalie's paypal is: txdogwrangler@gmail.com
