We just moved to Sherwood Trails and unfortunately, there is no bus to bring my daughter home from school. I was wondering if there was anyone in the Sherwood Trails area that wouldn't mind bringing her home from school that also has a child attending KMS. Thanks! 

There a lots of kids walking that route every day. She would not be alone.

He punched a dent in my daughter's car hood at a stop light a few months ago in what my daughter claims was an UNPROVOKED ATTACK. I have a feeling my daughter and her friend antagonized the kid to cause him to do it. Her side of the story is 'we weren't doing anything Mom. he came out of nowhere and punched the car'.

Not likely. I don't believe in 'unprovoked attacks', unlike some gullible parents on this board.

She paid for the damage herself. 

If you do find some kind enough to do this, make sure she gets her rear out there before the other drivers child gets out there every day. We tried helping out a neighbor once and had to sit and wait every morning for the child. 7:45 means 7:45. Of course, when I told her that I was done, I was the bad guy. 

I guess the whole walking thing just makes me nervous. She's never ridden a bike that far much less walked that far without supervision. Of course, when I was her age my parents let me ride my bike and walk to school but times were different then...Its just me being scared of what could happen. I didn't know there was a greenbelt pedophile...thanks for that, now I WONT be getting her a bicycle LOL...guess I will figure it out :/

But you are right Sheddy, I can understand the frustration of doing someone a favor and having to sit and wait on them...not cool...your not the bad guy for stopping, it just means you don't put up with being taken advantage of.

It would me too but like I said there are lots of kids walking that path. You will see after the first few weeks. 

When I was a 6th grader at KMS i lived in sherwood trails. I walked. Kids still walk. Tons of kids walk.

Your kids can walk too. 

If she had someone to walk with then I guess I wouldn't be as nervous.

Also, if you can take her on the first day or 2 ask the other parents or consider asking the PTA as well!
