Jersey Girl --- 10 years ago -

I am looking for a cleaning service that has experience in military housing move-outs. I am moving into an apartment in August and would like to have a thorough once-over of the apartment before I move in.
Please reply to this thread with referrals.
Thank you,
Shelley

does she need to do the sheets so that you can bounce a quarter off the bed?

So, you don't want the cleaning for the house you're moving out of? You want the new apartment you're moving into to be cleaned?

What does a military move out cleaning require that a regular cleaning doesn't?

This is a weird request.

Is this some sort of role playing thing?

I'm moving out of a home that will remain occupied, but military housing has very strict requirements on what constitutes cleanliness. If you ask anyone who's moved out of base housing, they will tell you there are stringent standards - drains, corners, gaskets, vents, everything must be immaculate. I've moved into housing before that was supposedly "cleaned" by a service only to find hair, crumbs, and the like left behind. I don't have time to do it myself and I want it really, truly, clean and I'm willing to pay the few dollars extra to have it done by a knowledgeable professional.

call a cleaning service- look under "maids"- they send out 2 or 3 people-

This is not uncommon in other parts of the country:

Dadgum jersey! Nice clean...and I was happy to finally find someone who would do me blinds.

Well if you're moving in this direction you should prolly be warned that this little part of the country is far from being any type of military town. So ur request would seem odd to us civilians. :)

Well, I was hoping to maybe find a transplant who had experience, or at least someone who knew what I was asking for and could do a really thorough job. The only lady I found in the area who advertises that she does move in/move out cleanings said she is currently injured. If anybody has a referral to a cleaner who can do a deep clean, please send them my way. I'd like to find someone who is eager for the work.

Just be careful who you hire to do the cleanup on KU. You might get "cleaned out" instead.

Jersey Girl --- 10 years ago -

Yes, I've lived here a couple years, I was following the recent drama. That's part of the reason I was asking for referrals. Was just hoping for more helpful advice than I've been getting, like common sense advice such as using the yellow pages. I've already looked on KWYS, craigslist, Kingwood.com, angieslist, and care.com. I can call any number of them, but that doesn't mean much, especially when I'm looking for a move-in cleaning. Oh, well. I'll probably hire someone out of downtown - I found a service called Mammoth Cleaning. We'll see what they say.

You are going to pay a pretty penny for that kind of clean. Seems zanex would be cheaper.
