Not new to KW, but am wanting a GOOD nail person for my solar nails. Where do you recommend?

Just called La Tique - Karen doesn't do nails....just pedicures. 

Huh, that's strange. She just did my nails last week! Oh, maybe she just does mani's and not solars? I don't know, we chatted about all the solar colors in the little jars behind her station so I figured she did them as well. She did a great job on my shellac, though! I like everyone at La Tique but Karen is my fave. 

I have used S&A Nails in the HEB center for 6 years. Francy is awesome and fast.

I use Tracy at the Nail Spot. Very good, nice and clean!

Eww, The Nail Spot is not clean. I was there recently and the lady wasn't using clean tools or buffer blocks or anything. She didn't even wash her hands between customers. Gross.

As far as being dirty---I've watched them thoroughly clean (with Clorox, bleach, ECt)

That's kind of concerning that you saw them use dirty tools :-X :-X Yikes

I actually love Tracy at the Nail Spot but the Manager is rude and doesnt like customers setting appointments. Hence the reason that I am asking for advice :)I will try S&A/Francy.

I think Tracy is the best but I will NEVER EVER GO BACK. I am sad to not have Tracy as my go to girl for nails and I'll miss her. But they do not honor appointments. When your times is very limited there is a reason you make appointments. Wow, just read what stelbell said. Don't get me started on this--I was so livid. Was going to have Tracy do something extra special for the Boston Marathon (was leaving for it the next morning). Helen the manager screwed me over on my appointment so bad. I walked out and told her I didn't need to reschedule EVER. I said don't get me started--well my buttons are pushed now -- I could go on and on about the ugly scene that played out. 

If you see your manicurist using dirty instruments or not washing their hands before attending to you, I would say something for sure, or at least confirm the instruments used were clean. FOr the record, I like Nail Spot and Helen.

Make sure you are getting CND Solar...not the fake gimmick stuff. 

I love Ocean nails! Nice clean and very nice people. 

I haven't gotten solar nails at Nails of America.... But I am satisfied with that shop thus far for What I have gotten there.
