I'm going to be getting married soon but just at the court house.... I want to do a ceremony but not until next year...... So my question is should I do an actual wedding ceremony or just a vow renewal?

sheddy --- 11 years ago -

If you want a wedding, have a wedding. Why would anyone want to attend a wedding of someone who has been married for a year? I could understand if you are marrying out of the country and came back here a year later to have a reception so everyone could meet your spouse.

Renew vows with a reception.

Oops double post

MissPris --- 11 years ago -

Just have a big anniversary party.

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 11 years ago -

Just have a big reception dinner party. The whole point now is the celebration with loved ones, right?

FabFive --- 11 years ago -

Reception only.

A wedding ceremony? When you are already married? A renewal of vows? After only months of marriage. Why? Both seem really odd to me. Too pointless after the actual wedding. But that's just me. I could see if you are returning from overseas and want to celebrate with a gathering to introduce new hubby.......but another ceremony??? Odd.

A renewal is appropriate at oh maybe 25 years. So I would wait till then for that!

Tylers Journey --- 11 years ago -

What we did was have my closest friends and family and then had a wonderful dinner for our wedding.

just have a party, not the ceremony. vow renewal within a year of being married? that would seem odd to me, but I'm single, lol.
