Kingwood Community Center
Starts: August 19, 2013 at 6:00 pm
Ends: August 19, 2013 at 9:00 pm

The Kingwood TEA Party Constitution Day Celebration and Fundraiser with Ted Cruz will occur at the Kingwood Community Center on the evening of August 19.
The co keynote speakers for the evening will be Senator Ted Cruz and Attorney General Greg Abbott.
Congressman Ted Poe will be joining us, as well as Congressman Culberson and many of the conservative officer holders in the area.
Many of the candidates running in the next Republican primary, including David Dewhurst, Todd Staples and Dan Patrick, each competing to be our next Lieutenant Governor, have confirmed. Ken Paxton and Barry Smitherman who are running to be the next Attorney General of Texas, will be there. Numerous Houston City Council candidates, and candidates running for Judge will be attending.
Each candidate may have the use of a table on candidate row for their campaign material so they can take full advantage of the 400 or more conservatives and Republicans who will be attending. We are asking each candidate to bring one or more very special silent auction items.
The purpose of the evening is to raise money for the Kingwood TEA Party. The KWTP has proved it can turn out the vote and effect elections in the Kingwood and Lake Houston area. We are raising funds so we can expand our GOTV results in Harris County and East Montgomery County.

This is turning into one of the conservative events of the year. Hope you can make it.

Senator Ted Cruz will be speaking at the Kingwood TEA Party Constitution Day Celebration and Fundraiser on 8/19
By Texas GOP Vote

The following is a press release from the Kingwood TEA Party regarding their Constitution Day celebration on August 19th. We are looking forward to having all of you join us as we celebrate the United States Constitution with Senator Ted Cruz, Attorney General Abbott, and a large gathering of our elected officials and candidates.
Senator Ted Cruz will be speaking at 6:00pm at the Kingwood TEA Party Constitution Day Celebration and Fundraiser on 8/19. The doors to the Kingwood Community Center will open at 5:00pm. Please come early to hear Ted Cruz speak. Most of our elected officials and candidates are coming early to set up and visit! Make arrangements to be there in plenty of time! Many of our elected officials and candidates will be there to set up their tables and visit with our early arrivals.
WHEN: Monday, 8/19/13
TIME: 5:00pm - 9:00 pm
WHERE: The Kingwood Community Center
True to KWTP principles, there is no charge to attend this event for either citizens or officials and candidates. Attorney General Greg Abbott will be speaking at 7pm. Greg Abbott likes to describe his job like this: “I go into the office, I sue Barack Obama and I go home. ”He’s sued the Obama administration over two dozen times. He was one of several state AGs who sued over Obamacare mandated contraception coverage, Environmental Protection Agency pollution standards and the Voting Rights Act. (He’s sued the EPA 17 times.) He also argued the 2005 Supreme Court case defending the state’s right to display the Ten Commandments in the state capitol building. Congressman Ted Poe will speak at 7:45PM. Ted Poe is a tireless advocate for a secure border, strong economy, and protecting our troops and our citizens from Barack Obama. He is an American Hero. And That's The Way It Is! The KWTP has proved it can turn out the vote and get conservative candidates elected in the Kingwood and Lake Houston areas. Please note that Kingwood TEA Party, Inc. is a Texas Non-Profit Corporation. We are NOT tax exempt to ensure that NO ONE can tell us what we can or cannot say! Lieutenant Governor candidates will face-off at 8:30pm. There will be 5 minutes each for David Dewhurst, Dan Patrick and Todd Staples to wow the crowd and convince us that they should be the next Lieutenant Governor. Don't miss this event!

Cruz was born in Canada to American citizens. Obozo was born in Kenya. So what is your point?

Good one Soup!

If TEA Party stands for "Taxed Enough Already", then why is it that they are so focused on social issues? Moreover, why are they focused on social issues that have been resolved over a generation ago?

DVaz --- 1 years ago -

Donkey, maybe because Tea Party members have high moral standards unlike the lazy bums in the Socialist 'Occupy' movement.

Donkey Hodie --- 1 years ago -

Or maybe the "Taxed Enough Already" slogan is a red herring - a slogan to snare the unthinking into following them - especially since we have the lowest effective tax rates in decades.

Donkey Hodie --- 1 years ago -

The TEA Party is just a new name for Authoritarians.

Souperman --- 1 years ago -

I like how it's riled a few here.

a slogan to snare the unthinking into following them

Nope. That would be this group:

Low taxes mean nothing when you are forced to pay a fortune in fees & regulations just to survive. License for this license for that. Did you conveniently forget that or the fact that inflation is rampant. Most people aren't making more money than they did 15 years ago, but most things cost nearly twice as much!

DearestTattooedDragon --- 1 years ago -

the tea party doesn't rile me, it amazes me! the way they've hijacked the party from us pubs was quite a feat- their platform of smaller gov't was really a euphemism for my way or the highway- smaller gov't except for their particular religion's ideology-

This is losers doing an endzone dance down by 30.

You're more fun when you make sense, soup shooter.
Any predictions for the football season? Never mind...that Romney pick you were SO sure of still has the board laughing.

Dr Aborto --- 1 years ago -

This should be a real treat for all the Kingwood Republicans. Their website is already selling new shirts in support of Cruz.

Except we've also had the lowest inflation since WWII:

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-08-18/twilight-of-bernanke-years-shows-no-sign-of-buyer-s-rem.html

Since Bernanke took office in February 2006, inflation as measured by the personal-consumption-expenditures price index has averaged 1.9 percent.

...

“You called me a dove. Well, maybe in some respects I am,” Bernanke said. “But on the other hand, my inflation record is the best of any Federal Reserve chairman in the post-war period or at least one of the best.”
