Ron Paul comes off as a creepy little man. Bachmnann creepy too. Perry has pissed me off as governor of Texas. Romney had his on Obama care/socialized medicine.

Abstaining is the poll.

GladysKravits --- 3 years ago -

NONE of the above and certainly not Perry! I was surprised how much I liked Newt Gingrich. I think because he didn't play the usual political answers and let's face it, he does know how it all works. I still love Cain and would think he'd do great with a sidekick like Newt to "work the system" and keep Paul close by as an advisor. The perfect candidate needs to be middle of the road in order to bring us all together. If you lean too far left or right, you won't have common ground.

Aah Grasshoppa --- 3 years ago -

Perry is the most electable.

Rollinglettuce --- 3 years ago -

I will not even do a stinky vote on this one. I refuse to even consider voting for Rick Perry. The Republicans need to keep looking.

Defcon1 --- 3 years ago -

Perry is a traitor and will get ZERO respect from me.

The man needs to be put on trial for treason due to his involvement with the bilderberg group.

Down with that criminal, he belongs in federal prison.

rEVOLution --- 3 years ago -

Perry is the most electable.

You are 100% correct. He is the most electable because he's a globalist sell out and everybody knows it. That's what we have come to as finding electable candidates. Obama sold out before he got into office so of course he was the top candidate.

Don't ever forget that Perry is currently selling off Texas land to foreign interests as we speak.

If he gets elected, Dewhurst will be our new governor and Dewhurst is far worse than Perry. Dewhurst is a Fed and we don't want a Fed running our state.

wayward1 --- 3 years ago -

I don't know about you guys, but if the Bilderburg sent me an invite, I would be there in 30 minutes. Who wouldn't want to see what goes on in there? I enjoy all the free food and drinks I could handle and swipe a few decorative towels and coasters.

dean --- 3 years ago -

you still dont get it do you why do you think texas is in the shape its in. perry with his blinders on lol

Kay Bailey Hutchison is running too.

Foreign Privatization of U.S. Highways

rEVOLution --- 3 years ago -

I just watched the GOP debate and was floored when the presenters actually mentioned that Rick Perry would be announcing Saturday that he's running for president and if the other candidates thought he pulled a quick one by not announcing his run before the debate.

Rockette --- 3 years ago -

Newt was awesome last night. He's listening to the right people and didn't even mention his wife once! If only he had a chance ... as Ron Paul said, 'the mainstream is starting to get it!'

Aah Grasshoppa --- 3 years ago -

Kay Bailey Hutchison is running too.

I'd be fine with her as governor of Texas. I also like Bill White.

qpc --- 3 years ago -

other...Cain and Gingrich are my favorites right now.

Aah Grasshoppa --- 3 years ago -

Bachmnann creepy too.

Her hubby creeps me out more than her.

Foreign Privatization of U.S. Highways

When the people of Texas learned about the $7.2 billion deal the state was constructing, they overwhelmed the legislature and demanded a two-year moratorium during which the consequences of the deal could be studied. The moratorium legislation passed the state House and Senate by a combined vote of 165 to 5 - more than enough to override the governor’s threatened veto.

This was stopped way back in 2007, his statement was "as we speak."

That's because it NEVER went away. The land owners were protesting so much that the feds finally said "fine, we'll take two years to analyze the effects of what we are doing" but the project never went away. They just wanted to get the heat out of the kitchen.

Kay Baily Hutchison wasn't on the poll-she the obvious choice as the GOP candidate to me, but that awful man actually beat her in the Governor primaries!!Unbelievable...

Now to this I would have to agree...

However I still don't see anywhere that Rick Perry is advocating selling land to foreign entities..

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 3 years ago -

Ronald, is there a way to amend your poll, adding Kay, and also a "none of the above? I'd be interested to see how that would affect the poll-

RonaldReagan --- 3 years ago -

I don't think kay is running for president just governor.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 3 years ago -

too bad- she's experienced, and moderate-the perfect candidate for the GOP-

true but not well known outside of texas.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 3 years ago -

neither is Perry, but he's getting lots of press now-

When asked the qualities required to be a politician; "The ability to foretell what is going to happen tomorrow, next week, next month and next year. And to have the ability afterwards to explain why it didn't happen."

WHATS HAPPENING --- 3 years ago -

Perry sucks on illegal immigration and schools. I do like the recent passage of loser pays in litigation.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 3 years ago -

not much to make him a viable presidential candidate-I just wish he's be happy with being Governor-the Lt. Gov. does most of the work, and he can preen, and make speeches to his heart's content-

ToidBoid --- 3 years ago -

I lost all respect for Kay Bailey Hutchinson because she was all for the Dream Act. . .

I wrote her off then and there.

Aah Grasshoppa --- 3 years ago -

I could see Bachmann on those cougarlife.com commercials. She needs to shed that televangelist-looking husband of hers.

rEVOLution --- 3 years ago -

However I still don't see anywhere that Rick Perry is advocating selling land to foreign entities..

Somebody is seeing it...

Trans Texas Corridor still alive

tarhorn --- 3 years ago -

I didn't think he'd really run....but now that he's apparently in the race...All he really has to do to secure the nomination is to carry the "solid red Southern States".
The southern republicans won't go for Romney or Bachmann. The others on the ticket are weak candidates. Perry should have it sewn-up after he wins SC and Fla.-the first two southern state primaries.
