value creation failed at line 451. I get this error when I try to add or remove a program. I need to remove my Avast so I can reinstall another trial but I can't get into my add remove programs. HELP!!!!! :)

This error is due to a missing or corrupt Shellstyle.dll on c:\windows\system32. You can download a copy of it here: http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/S/shellstyle.dll/5.1.2600.0/download.html Just copy it to your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folder. This is a known issue caused by updating the XP Service Pack.

Did you reboot after the fix I gave you? This is a long standing known issue and I've seen it many times and that fix has always worked.
