There is a music store in Humble over by 1st street next to a jewelry store that gives all kinds musical lessons to kids. Sorry I wish I could remember the name.

Miss T's dh has began teaching guitar lessons at Kingwood Language Academy. My ds just started this week! 

and are they "buget friendly?" Well, our son took Violin lessons and they were not too cheap. Not too sure about Guitar lessons though. 

I believe it is $20 per 1/2 hr. at KLA...FYI. 

Do they offer group lessons or individual lessons at KLA?

no.well..I don't think so.I mean.The 22 was for individual,I don't know if they do groups..

We are doing individual lessons... reason being... students begin on different levels with different music experiences already and progress at different paces...you probably don't want your child in a class that has to keep repeating the same lesson for those who don't practice. 

By the way, you should hear my 11 yr old play. My dh taught him and people are usually amazed when they see him play. We took him to AMS for awhile to expose him to different styles, but they would finally call him into the lesson 10 minutes late and they'd let him out 5 minutes early. 

Are there certain days that he does the lessons? I work M-F in Houston and work until about 5 so I am not to Kingwood until 6 or 6:15... 

Well, most lessons don't start until after school anyway since the kids are in school.. I'll send you a pm about times.

oh, another thing... we do not book students back to back... we allow 45 minutes for each student so that parents can ask questions etc at the end of the lesson and the next lesson is not having to wait.

Atascocita Music Store gave my son his guitar lessons and he is great! Of course, he is also my neighbor down the street so we already knew him from the time he was a young boy. Now, he is the owner and a great guy. I can't remember how much we paid but maybe it was a monthly thing.
