Hey ya'll. just got flyer from cedar landing..we had signed up for their rewards..they send us a free meal on all our birthdays and anniversaries,etc. They have a guarantee on their flyer that reads "If you are not totally happy w/ your dining experience-your dinner is free-no strings attached. We have been in business for 28 years making you happy one meal at a time.." We've only gone at lunch. The kids get a cool table cover and crayon pack, the waitress always gives the kids free popcorn for the ducks, has brought them free applesauce early when they seemed antsy. I don't order their kids meals cuz they are fried..we order the avocado crab salad and soup. the kids love it. we go at lunch, the wait staff then is so great with kids. never gone at night. but they have a website at cedarlanding.com, I get the feeling the owner would be receptive to anyone's concerns.

LOL Sorry but if he were so receptive, he would not have so many ticked off customers. The key to being receptive is to make changes when people take the time to write a letter of complaint, when they are unhappy enough to call the manager to their table, etc. And waistaff cursing loud enough for your children to hear it is unacceptable. Period. We like to go there, but we go with the knowledge the service is going to be cruddy, and the food so - so, and expensive.

Hmmm, IF everyone complains, they may go broke unless they have made changes to their dinners. jmo. Lunch is good there. The dinners are so, so, but way overpriced.

exactly UM. Had the manager taken this much effort into making his customers satisfied while they were dinning in his establishment, well that would of been impressive. I'll stick to the Catfish place here, not so far to go and I know the owner actually cares.

JMHO--Be truthful in regards to your affiliation. Maybe you cant for reasons unknown but to pretend that you are "Joe Blow"?? No one will buy that on this forum. Sorry.

Hi, I'm Tony, teacher turned sahm, been posting on here for 4-5 months as TK. Changed to tk2 cuz spamarama problem with other email. other post have been about preschools, ob-gyns, kids, etc. Never met the owner of Cedar Landing, nor do I know anyone on the staff, just really like supporting local rest, etc. I obviously missed some of the Cedar Landing thread where people wrote letters, etc. Sorry, I'm busy and sometimes don't read everything. Didn't mean to offend anyone, just thought maybe no one knew they guarantee their restaurant...obviously people have tried that and they didn't, so I'm sorry. Really just trying to be helpful as several on here have really helped me. Have a lovely day.

Every time I've ever been in that place, I vowed to never return. I think I'll just keep my promise. That place is terrible!

We like it very much but the prices have gone up a lot. Service is slow so if you do have kids I can see it being frustrating.

They love to say your meal is "guaranteed” but that is just talk. Several years ago I went and had a HORRIBLE experience. My waitress served everyone at my table and never brought my food. I complained multiple times and she just kept telling me I never ordered anything and I would just have to wait. Everyone ate their meal and I never got any food. When I tried to speak to the manager on duty I was told there wasn’t one and then all the staff disappeared to the kitchen. At that time I vowed to never return. Last year I decided to try it again and it didn’t seem to have changed accept for the huge price increase. The waitess was rude and the food was overpriced. I emailed the owner and he never got back with me and I am still waiting for my money back.

Interesting that someone brings up a post from 5 years ago.... Have you been there recently? New people and the food was good. Ask for Rocky if you have service issues he's a good waiter. They have changed owners and fresh ingredients that make me keep coming back.
