The Supreme Court on Monday said it would allow the Trump administration's controversial travel ban to largely go into effect, while setting a hearing on the entire executive order for October.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 8 years ago -

As predicted.

9th circuit loses again.

Karras --- 8 years ago -

controversial travel ban

It's only controversial because it was Trump's EO. Then the obstructionists from the Resist party shopped a lawsuit to dirty liberal judges.

It was inevitable that the 9th Circuit would lose again. Look at their justification for upholding the stay. I wonder why no democrats/liberals have said a thing on this thread.

Judas --- 8 years ago -

You all are so good at regurgitating the real Faux News broadcasts, word for word. If you ever had to think for yourselves that would be impossible though. Sad. I'm so glad you all will be able to sleep at night knowing that the raghead vacationers won't be allowed in since all others will still gain access to your bedrooms.

Good old Trump now decreasing income earned by the travel industry. This place is going to be in the tanker by 2020.

Karras --- 8 years ago -

Quick, someone call the Waaaaaahmbulance.

LMFAO

I am sure they didn't editorialize the story at all. Did they interview someone from CAIR or some muslims to see how they "feel" about the decision.

no - well at least not in the article I read

Neither the 9th or the 4th circuits decisions have been overturned - they will be reviewed by the SCOTUS in October - What the court just did was remove the stay until the decisions are reviewed.

In any case - it is defiantly a win for DJT - and a view into this new court.

AMDG --- 8 years ago -

actually to be more precise "partially removed the stay"

Judas --- 8 years ago -

I am delighted that you racist bigots religious extremists are so happy with the ban that will hurt our travel industry and thankful that you continue to show your true racist bigot religious extremists colors on here daily without fail.

Karras --- 8 years ago -

Will someone hurry and please call the Waaaambulance! We have another victim of TDS - Head is about to explode. LMFAO

Do you know what hurts the travel industry? having terrorist attacks in your cities. Yep, a lot of people are passing on Europe this year and heading to safer places - like cities in the US, Japan, Hong Kong, NZ, AUS, Hawaii.

wayward1 --- 8 years ago -

Outside of the left/right tallying points on each other, I'm trying to figure this ban out more.

We get the ban from 6 countries for 90 days, unless they have a work visa or are a student (like the 9/11 terrorists). Great. What happens after 90 days? Do we just let all these people back in? Do we have to try to renew the 90 day ban continuously. I not sure.

Prolix Raconteur --- 8 years ago -

the ban that will hurt our travel industry and

LOL...Iran, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Somalia?

Yeah, that's going to put a HUGE dent in the airlines pocketbook. LOL

Lest we forget about all those dollars being spent in the US by wealthy vacationers from Somalia, Yemen and Sudan HAHAHAHA...

BuiltinTX70 --- 8 years ago -

Fair decision at this point.

I hope, however, that the Trump administration begins what their permanent plan will be, as this is only 90 days..............

Again, I hope this administration has a master plan, and not throwing darts.

AMDG --- 8 years ago -

So the original travel ban was signed on Jan 27th to give the administration 90 days to improve vetting requirements. By my count that was 150 days ago. Has the administration done anything in the interim to improve the vetting process ??

jackass --- 8 years ago -

Unlikely...

witchywoman --- 8 years ago -

Highly unlikely.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 8 years ago -

There have been numerous changes by USCIS since January.

SoupIsGoodFood --- 8 years ago -

It's moral victory for Trump.

Which drives the left insane.

Which is beyond entertaining.

jackass --- 8 years ago -

These days Trump can declare victory just by getting up in the morning...

BuiltinTX70 --- 8 years ago -

There have been numerous changes by USCIS since January.

Can you elaborate or give a link?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 8 years ago -

Simply google USCIS

AMDG --- 8 years ago -

I just banged around on USCIS for 5 or 10 minutes - didn't find very much about any vetting changes - one news story on cracking down on employers fraud.

Did you hear of anything specific Emp?

BuiltinTX70 --- 8 years ago -

Yeah..I Googled it and didn't find much either.

I saw that, and also some stuff on doctors.........

AMDG --- 8 years ago -

It's moral victory for Trump.

agree -

Now the question is, was that the whole purpose all along? I mean if the intent was really to temporarily halt the this immigration until we could improve the vetting process - to make us safer - what have they done to improve it in the last 150 days?

And that is actually a question - they well might have - i just haven't been able to find it.

See, anyone who disagrees with the left is a racist. It's SOP for them to call everyone racists.

jackass --- 8 years ago -

Judas forgot you can't call racists racist anymore, they find it offensive..

He has no idea what I am. Just because I disagreed with him he called me a racist. Insulting anyone who disagrees with them is SOP for the left.

Moral? Lol

As far as tourism dollars go, USA Today said $18 billion will be lost. It isnt just from the 6 banned countries. Other foreigners stay away too.

Karras --- 8 years ago -

Still trying to see how the travel ban is racist.

Also, since when did muslim become a race? Because, there are black, brown, yellow, white muslims.

jackass --- 8 years ago -

He has no idea what I am. Just because I disagreed with him he called me a racist.

He didn't specify anyone...calm down .

Karras --- 8 years ago -

jackass --- 8 years ago -

Loss of tourism dollars won't hurt Texas...

Prolix Raconteur --- 8 years ago -

Emperor of Kingwood --- 8 years ago -

Did you hear of anything specific Emp?
