A group of us are meeting for drinks before we head over to the hayride. If you would like to join us, message me and I'll give you the details!

Ed Earl --- 10 years ago -

I messaged the OP as requested and as I suspected, there is no meeting before the hay ride. Just another lame attempt to sabotage the hay ride. Why do you try to destroy this every year?

Porterican --- 10 years ago -

Seriously? That is some lame sh!t.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

maybe waterfall just didn't want you to come, Ed-

aight den --- 10 years ago -

waterfall --- 10 years ago -

I did not say that, but nice attempt at trying to sabotage my friendly invite.

Sad.

AwesomeTattooedDragon --- 10 years ago -

typical of him-

Big D --- 10 years ago -

Why does Ed Earl think that meeting for drinks destroys a hayride? Some of you people are really weird. I don't get it.

Ed Earl --- 10 years ago -

AwesomeTattooedDragon, you may be right, I guess Waterfall didn't want me to attend. It seemed like the perfect opportunity for the doubters to meet me and see that in fact I am a man and not a lady from Alaska.

whywhywhy1 --- 10 years ago -

That sounds awesome. I will bring a flask of Hot Damn to keep us warm during the ride too. So much fun.

Drunk adults on a Christmas hayride for children.

Leila --- 10 years ago -

I don't think there was any mention of anyone getting drunk. That is a bit of a stretch.

This afternoon I had a drink with friends in my Sunday school class before we headed to the nursing home to sing. It helped loosen my vocal cords up, lol. I assure you, we were far from drunk....although we might have sounded a little like we were.

jacobson --- 10 years ago -

I agree with you Ed, and I'm still trying to figure out why people who profess to be Christians, go against Scripture and drink alcoholic beverages, especially at church.

Big D --- 10 years ago -

I must have missed where anyone said they had alcoholic beverages while at church

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

Jesus drank wine, but alcoholic beverages are against scripture?

What a load of dung!

Do you have any friends? Besides the cult members who follow your false teachings. Just a genuine friend.

I would bet money that you don't, and would celebrate winning that bet with an alcoholic beverage!

SagaciousSighFiGurl (Mod) --- 10 years ago -

Oh, Jacobsen, scripture says nothing about alcoholic beverages. It talks about drunkeness.

Huzzah

Big D --- 10 years ago -

From the time he spends posting here, I doubt he does. He must be a retired old man. Cult members? Lol! Definitely. He seems to be the most insane person that posts here and I don't even know who comes close.

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

I can't decide if he's just a troll that NEVER breaks character, or if he's an actual person who lives like that.

Defends pedophiles, constantly insults anyone and everyone on their religious beliefs...it's insanity. He is Fred Phelps.

jacobson --- 10 years ago -

Jesus drank wine, but alcoholic beverages are against scripture?

If Jesus did drink wine, and the Bible doesn't say that He did, it was non-alcoholic wine.

Scripture says in Proverbs 31:4-5:

"It is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted."

Jesus is the Prince of Peace and the King of Kings. He would no go against His own words and drink alcoholic drinks.

Oh, Jacobsen, scripture says nothing about alcoholic beverages. It talks about drunkeness.

You really should do some study before you make those incorrect statements. As I already pointed out, the Bible does say not to drink alcoholic drinks. In fact it warns about alcoholic drinks many times. In another Scripture passage, Proverbs 23:31, God's instruction is to not even look at intoxicating drinks.

"Look not thou upon the wine when it is red"

Proverbs 23:19-20 tells us that a wise person will not be among the drinkers of alcoholic beverages. In Proverbs 4:17, God calls alcoholic drink the wine of violence.

I don't know who the author of the following information is.

The Bible is the same "yesterday, today, and forever." What godly Bible teachers said in the past is true today. Dr. Robert Teachout, A Semitic scholar who, in 1979, wrote his doctorate on The Use of Wine in the Old Testament, stated, "Alcohol is never approved by God in any amount for the obedient Christian."

Dr. Samuele Bacchiocchi, author of Wine in the Bible, 1989, says, Drinking Alcohol is...a moral issue. It is...a transgression of God?s law."

FACTS TO KNOW

1) The Bible does teach total abstinence from alcohol. Both the main Hebrew word for wine and the Greek word for wine can mean either fermented grape juice or intoxicating wine. The English word wine originally had two meanings also - unfermented juice or alcoholic drink.

2) In the Bible, verses to show God approves of wine are speaking about unfermented juice. Verses that expose the evils of wine are speaking about intoxicating wine.

3) The Bible says alcoholic drink is evil. It is not just the amount one drinks that makes drinking a sin. God condemns the drink itself. (Prov 20:1 KJV) Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

4) God does not lead us into evil; He delivers us from it. He does not teach us to practice evil in moderation. Jesus did not make, use, approve, commend, or tell us to use intoxicating wine.

5) God made man to have fellowship with Him. Alcohol goes directly to the brain, the communication center of the body. It interferes with God?s purpose for mankind.

There is more Scripture condemning the use of alcoholic beverages than will be found on the subjects of lying, adultery, swearing, cheating, hypocrisy, pride, or even blasphemy.

RedMulch --- 10 years ago -

The scripture says that wine is a gift to make men happy. It also warns against the dangers of excess. It should be enjoyed in moderation.

jacobson --- 10 years ago -

Defends pedophiles, constantly insults anyone and everyone on their religious beliefs...it's insanity. He is Fred Phelps.

I see Dorothy is spreading her false accusations again. Never have defended a pedophile and you're the one who insults people, along with Big D of course. And Big D, if you have a tenth of the friends I have, you're blessed.

waterfall --- 10 years ago -

if you have a tenth of the friends I have, you're blessed.?

Strangers on other internet message boards that are as crazy as you are with these holier than thou posts don't count.

Maybe you would lighten up some if you had a drink.

Take an extra gulp during communion next week.

I'm not the crazy one, and your posts are much more "holier than thou" than mine could ever be.

Yeah, waterfall; don't you know YOU are the crazy one? And OMG as for holier than thou - well, I don't know anyone who is more holier than thou than waterfall!! I mean, you are always preaching to people, telling them how they are the ones who are wrong, who misunderstand, how they are, well, just plain stupid. You need to stop that nonsense right now, waterfall!

jacobson --- 10 years ago -

and he strikes yet again.

You seem to be one of the ones doing the striking.

I mean, you are always preaching to people, telling them how they are the ones who are wrong, who misunderstand

Apparently you don't understand what "holier than thou" means. It means you believe what you think is above what God thinks. People who rely on themselves and not God fit that mold.

esquala --- 10 years ago -

LOL. Hey, waterfall, I forgot your "I am rubber you are glue" syndrome.

LOLOLOLOL.

I'm not talking to you anyway, JL.

Dorothy Parker --- 10 years ago -

That's all fine and good, JL, except you seem to be the sole decider on what God says and thinks. Anytime anyone else speaks on God, you say they're wrong.

Not God, you.

So, let that sink in for a minute before telling us we're holier than thou.

jacobson --- 10 years ago -

That's all fine and good, JL, except you seem to be the sole decider on what God says and thinks.

Neither John nor I are the sole decider since God told all of us in His Word.

Anytime anyone else speaks on God, you say they're wrong.

Actually you are incorrect. Many things have been said about Scripture and neither John or I have said they were wrong. If they are wrong, that is because what they have said is contradictory to Scripture.

So, let that sink in for a minute before telling us we're holier than thou.

Don't need to. If you believe what you think is holier than what God has said, which is what you have indicated repeatedly, then you are the one who is "holier than thou".

whywhywhy1 --- 10 years ago -

JL still here desperately needing a stiff drink and a good lay. Maybe that was a good drink and a stiff lay...

jacobson --- 10 years ago -

You sure do know a lot about stiff.

Big D --- 10 years ago -

I don't see where the scripture you quoted says anything about alcoholic drink being evil. I don't even see a condemnation. Is that really what you believe those words mean?

whywhywhy1 --- 10 years ago -

You sure do know a lot about stiff.?

Oh JL you think you are hiding but people know who you are, you aren't fooling anyone. It was actually your comment to me before and your in person attempt to dodge it that outed you?well that and your family. LOL
